Dear Friends,
We extend our warmest wishes from the entire LeNoir Foundation team and hope you are safe and sound during this challenging time. We continue to remain vigilant in our efforts to "flatten the curve" and are optimistic for a return to normalcy and a brighter future. We are working on creative solutions to continue to serve our communities and engage with our valued team of volunteers and students in innovative, safe ways. Until then, we want to keep you informed of the situation from our partner communities, understanding that circumstances are rapidly changing.
In Uganda, India and Zimbabwe, all public schools have closed by government mandate in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, all of our programmes are temporarily on pause in order to protect our team and the larger community. Our teams in each country are working remotely to come up with creative solutions to continue to provide communities with support. We appreciate your continued support as we navigate these uncharted waters together. We are also here to support you should you need us.
The London-based LeNoir Fdn team (Jay & Ionut) is at your service should you have any questions or concerns. Feel free to reach out for anything or just to say hello!
With Gratitude,
J MAWAKA
Jay Mawaka-Smith.
